Cloud apps edit Microsoft Office docs

As we move more and more into the world of , “I may not need a desktop computer any longer, ” document editing is moving into the cloud.  Two apps do a serviceable job.  Both apps have some failings but one is the clear winner. This article compares Documents Free and CloudOn.

The finding …  for serious document editing of tables and bullets and formatting Word, Excel, or Powerpoint documents, CloudOn wins hands down over Documents Free. CloudOn also works on Android mobiles and syncs through Google Docs.

So we’re one step closer to not needing that desktop and the portable PC.
