Control what others know about you

privacyListening to the news about the need to protect your privacy doesn’t help do it.  Here’s the first in a series of articles about making your internet activities more private.

By setting up private browsing on your internet browser, Safari,  you protect your private information and you keep websites from tracking your behavior.  One privacy benefit of this is you’ll stop getting so much spam in your email.

And, you can keep Safari from remembering:

  • the pages you visit
  • your search history
  • your AutoFill data

Probably sounds like a bit of overkill until you realize how easy it would be for someone to borrow and use your iPad at home or walk off with it in a coffee shop.
